In which the creator of the site attempts to humblebrag his way through a brief introduction to himself.
Hello, I’m Darren. Pleased to meet you (probably).
I am an entreupreneur (I need to sit down and have a rest after spelling that one) and businessman, a retired Company Director and long time keyboard political busy body. As you will see from my picture, I also have an amazing taste in shirts!
I don’t do people, unless I have to, and I live in a lovely house by the sea in the Lancashire village of Heysham. (I also live near the Nuclear Power Station, from which I hope to eventually gain super powers).
At present I do a bit of consulting, create data driven website applications, read lots of books, go on holiday far more than is healthy for any one person, watch TV, turn off the TV and read a book instead, and I am working on a number of exciting novels both as recipient and as creator.
My favourite colour is black (though I am not a Goth, much) and my favourite band is rubber.
All in all I am just your average overachieving grumpy old man, I have even passed the half century. Not many England cricketers can say that.
Hope you like what I write here. I have far too much to say for myself, and now I am retired I have no-one to say it to except my long suffering wife and my two adult children. And now I can tell you too.
